Navigating Neurons was born from lived experience and a belief that support should never feel out of reach.

More than 18 years ago, I began a journey that has shaped the course of my life and work. As a parent of a neurodivergent child, I found myself navigating complex systems, long waiting periods, and a lack of clear guidance at a time when support was needed most.

Like many families, there were moments of uncertainty, isolation, and exhaustion. Understanding how to advocate effectively, access services, and navigate educational pathways often felt overwhelming. Behind the practical challenges was the emotional reality of feeling unheard, misunderstood, and expected to carry the weight of the journey alone.

Yet within those experiences came something powerful: insight, resilience, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals, their families, and the communities that support them.

Over time, this lived experience has been combined with professional expertise gained through more than 15 years of working alongside vulnerable individuals in complex environments. What began as therapeutic support for individuals has evolved into community programmes, funded projects, advocacy work, and partnerships focused on creating meaningful change.

Today, Navigating Neurons Together exists to help organisations, schools, funders, and communities strengthen their understanding of and support for neurodiversity in practice.

We believe awareness is only the beginning. Real change happens when understanding is supported by action, when inclusion is embedded into everyday practice, and when people are given the tools, confidence, and frameworks needed to create lasting impact.

By bringing together lived experience, professional insight, and practical application, we help organisations move beyond uncertainty and towards more informed, inclusive, and sustainable approaches to support.

OUR MISSION

Navigating Neurons exists to bridge the gap between awareness and action, empowering organisations and communities to build environments where neurodivergent individuals are understood, valued, and supported to thrive.

Let’s Start The Conversation That Leads To Change.

Supporting neurodivergent individuals isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about creating the space to ask better questions, challenge assumptions, and build more informed approaches together.

If you’re ready to strengthen how support is understood and delivered within your organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
